#EURO 16 - day 4:
I hate to say the Italians played like I have never seen them play before. Except for around 10 minutes when, #ITA used brute force to stop Belgian attack, they were very organised in defence and incisive in attack. Whenever they attacked, they made sure that Courtios was tested and then beating him twice brilliantly. I wished Belgium to score. #Hazard was skilful self, however they lacked the final finish and did not test #Buffon properly. I sincerely hope they progress.
Earlier the day, #Ireland almost created a major upset, but an own goal meant they will have to share a point. Consolation is that they are ahead of Belgium on goal difference.
Defending champion, #Spain started non-descript , with an average looking win over the Czech.  It pains me to say that #Spain was looking average compared to the clinical #Germans, powerful #Italians, and even unlucky #England. Well it's just fourth day.

#EURO16 day 2

Love my football :EURO16 day 2
At last, we saw an England team which is capable of playing beautiful football. The result of #ENGRUS was not what was expected after the 92 minutes of the game. England surely deserved to win. Sports is seems to be sometimes so unfair.
In the afternoon, Wales played beautiful football. #GarethBale showed why he is one of the highest paid footballers. And when the ball rolled into the net from #RobsonKa u, felt very good for him. What is remarkable is the visible team spirit. I wish to see the #Wales to progress further in the tournament.
All in all I think it was a very good day of football. As will everything else, #ENG will need to be very proud of themselves and score. May be #Vardy can bring that magic!!

EURO16 day 1

EURO 16 day 1
What a start to the #EURO16 ! After a low key opening ceremony, goal less but attractive first half and the a goal from home team, equaliser within few minutes as a result of a thoughtless few seconds from the most experienced Frenchman on the field and then 15 minutes of very ordinary scrappy football,  Payet's dream strike at 89'. The whole thing epitomised why I love football.
I can never forget the magical goal by Marco Van Basten, and this goal will surely be etched permanently in the memory.
An individual feat of brilliance separates victor and vanquished.
Till that moment when #Payets bootstring shot curled into the far right corner of the goal swivelling between the two defenders, with Tararusanu, the goalkeeper , making a valiant attempt to get near it and then almost applauding it. The defence can't be faulted.
Earlier in the match, Girod, after a very ordinary first half lit up the Stade de France with superb header. And then Evra. My 12 year son spoke out ' what have you done!' Well one must congratulate Evra for coming back strongly after that 'momentary loss of sense'. And then Greizman. He was all over the field , as if shirts were magically changing their number to 7. He did everything but score.
Romania played very good football, and their defence stood steadfast except for the individual brilliances, they did well.
Earlier, #Zara Larsson's song lifted the opening ceremony spirit. She could not have chosen a more apt song.
Well time to wait for #England in the evening.
